Our Beliefs

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, authoritative Word of God, and it is, therefore, our infallible rule of faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

We believe that there is one eternal God, who is the Creator of all things and is self-existent in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy. (Matthew 28:19; John 1:1-3, 14; Luke 1:26-38, 1 John 4:8, 1 Peter 1:16)

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His substitutionary death on the cross, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His glorious return.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, as both God and man, is the only one who can reconcile us to God. (John 14:6; Ephesians 2:16)

We believe that for the salvation of sinful humanity, spiritual regeneration (spiritual birth, born again) by the Holy Spirit is essential, and we can only experience this in Jesus Christ. It is not a result of good works but rather through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. As seen in the Book of Acts, the first demonstration of that faith is water baptism (but only after an individual has repented and put their faith in Christ as Savior and Lord). We identify and enter into Christ's death, burial, and resurrection through water baptism. But, having stated this, we do not believe in baptismal regeneration. (John 3:3-8; 1 Peter 1:23, Titus 3:5-7; Acts 2:38,41; Acts 8:12, 35-38; Acts 20:21; Ephesians 2:8-9)

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the believer is enabled to live a godly and fruitful life as they are growing in Christ-likeness. We believe that every believer should experience what Jesus defined as being 'baptized with the Holy Spirit,' where the Holy Spirit comes upon us, and we receive power to be Christ's witness. Jesus Christ, who is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow, has not ceased being the one who baptizes with the Holy Spirit. (Acts 1:4-5, 8; Acts 11:15-16, Hebrews 13:8; Mark 1:8; John 1:33)

We believe that every believer should desire the spiritual gifts of the Holy Spirit, and that spiritual gifts are available to all believers and are given as the Holy Spirit determines. There are no sufficient Biblical grounds to validate that the Holy Spirit has changed in function, that He no longer distributes His spiritual gifts, and that believers in this present age should disobey 1 Corinthians 12:31, 14:1 & 39 by not desiring spiritual gifts. (1 Corinthians 12:1, 4, 7-11, 31; 1 Corinthians 14:1)

We believe that all who profess faith in Christ should be committed to fulfilling the Great Commission as outlined in Matthew 28:18-20, thus making it possible for the gospel to be preached to all the peoples of the world.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost. Those who are saved, evidenced by their faith producing good fruit (see Acts 26:20), will rise to experience the life provided by God. And those who are lost (evidenced by continuing in evil deeds) will rise to experience judgment and be condemned. (John 5:28-29; Revelation 20:11-15, 21:8)

“All Scripture is God-breathed [given by divine inspiration] and is profitable for instruction, for conviction [of sin], for correction [of error and restoration to obedience], for training in righteousness [learning to live in conformity to God's will, both publicly and privately--behaving honorably with personal integrity and moral courage].”

– Paul, the apostle (2 Timothy 3:16, AMP)
